Alan Brennert is a well rounded and accomplished writer. Spanning from his work in television on shows such as Wonderwoman and The Outer Limits to his popular novels Honolulu and Moloka'i. Hailing from New Jersey, Alan Brennert studied screenwriting at UCLA and has also worked as a television producer and comic book writer. Daughter of Moloka'i is the sequal to his previous novel Moloka'i.
Daughter of Moloka'i follows the events of Moloka'i. After her mother is compelled to give her up for adoption, Ruth travels from the Kapi'olani Home for Girls on Honolulu to Northern California to live with her Japanese adoptive parents. The novel reaches its furious fever pitch when Ruth is forced into captivity at the Manzanar Internment Camp during World War II. Daughter of Moloka'i is a beautifully written, heart wrenching sequel, weaving together characters from Alan's previous novel and new characters you are certain to love.
